A Sir Laurence Olivier Award winner for his role in Kat and the Kings on London's West End. Alistair’s international career spans decades of excellence in musical theatre, live performance, recording, and production. His professional journey began at just 9 years old and has taken him to the world’s top stages, from Japan to Broadway.
From starring in District Six – The Musical and The Buddy Holly Story, to working alongside icons like Stevie Wonder, Bonnie Tyler, Dan Hill, Atlantic Starr, Brenda Fassie, and Ringo Madlingozi, Alistair’s versatility has made him a beloved South African icon and global ambassador for the arts.
As an MC and radio host, he blends charisma and comic timing with a deep love for entertainment. His solo hits—like Venus and Africa Arise—and one-man shows (Cape Town Blue, Just Me – Net So, WTF was that!) continue to win hearts. He has released eight albums to date.
Founder of Alistair Izobell Productions (AIP), he now champions young talent and brings world-class productions to South African stages. AIP secured exclusive African rights to Three Mo' Tenors and has produced hit musicals and cultural showcases that uplift Cape Town’s vibrant artistic scene. Alistair has written many songs for artists including American Grammy award winning vocal group All 4 One.
